Balancing your consumption ⚖️

Be a Creator, Not Just a Consumer

Reader,

Can you believe the average American adult is expected to spend nearly 8 HOURS consuming media EVERY DAY in 2025?! That includes 4+ hours of video content.

🤯 Whoa.

We live in a hyper connected world and there are more things than ever to inform, entertain, and distract you from life. In moderation, many sources of media can improve the quality of your life.

But given the excess of options (and the brilliance of the psychological engineers who formulate your experience to get and keep you addicted), consuming content can easily get out of balance.

So, here's my question for you:

How often do you stop consuming in order to CREATE?

🤔

When we consume food, we digest it, and we create 💩 (waste). However, we rarely take the time to digest the media we consume–if we process it at all. Which makes it even more rare to give the world the gift of creating something as a result.

This month, I am committed to limiting my consumption to 30 min/day and increasing my creation to once/day!! (I love audiobooks and podcasts, so this is a big commitment.)

Keep growing,
